UPDATE: (and good news!) The Lions Club Wading Pool's resurfacing work to ensure there are no leaks has been completed, the pool is filled with water, the pH levels are all good, and the pool will be ready for full use tomorrow, Saturday, July 13th at 9 a.m.
The Lions Club Wading Pool gives children a place to get used to playing in the water, to cool off in the summer and to meet friends who might also come and visit the pool. The pool is located near the first Washington Avenue entrance to Cantine Field, as you travel from Main Street. It is situated between the Cantine Field basketball courts and the Lions Club Playground (both visible from Washington Avenue).
The wading (a.k.a. "kiddie") pool is free and is open from roughly July 1st to September 1st (Mondays through Saturdays, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.). There is a lifeguard present. For those unfamiliar with the Lions Club Wading Pool, at its deepest, it is only 30 inches and so its use is intended for smaller children.
There is typically an announcement on the Village website News page, around the time of the opening of the pool, and the closing of the pool, for the season.
For questions about the Wading Pool, please call the Village Clerk at 845-246-2321 x1.
