Description:

In 2012, the Kiwanis Club of Saugerties and the Saugerties Fire Department will team up for yet another great Saugerties 4th of July celebration. The 4th of July parade and fireworks will take place on Wednesday, July 4th.

Festivities include:
  • Firemen's inspection (8:30 a.m. on Main Street)
  • Parade (kicks off at 11 a.m. from Saugerties High School) . . . PDF of parade route is available under "Documents" below.
  • Fireworks at dusk.

Typically, there are events at Cantine Field (Battle of the Bands, food vendors) prior to the fireworks.  If we're sent specifics, we'll include them here.

Activities:

On Wednesday, July 4th, the parade line-up (Saugerties HS bus circle and parking lots) is at 10 a.m. and the parade kicks off sharply from Saugerties High School at 11 a.m.  It winds through the Village, and finishes at Cantine Field.  The parade route is available as a PDF under "Documents" below.

There are typically activities at Cantine Field after the parade and before the fireworks.  Fireworks at Cantine Field begin at dusk.  All festivities take place Wednesday, July 4th.

Fees:

There is no fee for the parade, nor for the fireworks at Cantine Field.

Any group interested in participating in the parade should contact Dave Mason (845-246-9701).
