Saugerties Soccer which was started in 1972 and became a chartered member, Region 595, of the American Youth Soccer
Organization (AYSO) in 1990, has now grown to over 800 players. Girls and Boys
ages 4-18 years old are eligible to play in both the Fall and Spring
Soccer programs. The soccer fields are located at the north end of the
Cantine Veterans Memorial Complex (next to the Kiwanis Ice Arena). AYSO's vision
is to provide world class youth soccer programs that enrich children’s lives.
AYSO's mission is to develop and deliver quality youth soccer programs
which promote a fun, family environment based on AYSO's Six Philosophies:
Everyone Plays® - Balanced Teams - Open Registration - Positive Coaching
- Good Sportsmanship - Player Development.
