Since 2005, Eyal Saad has served as the Code Enforcement Officer for the Village of Saugerties, where he administers and manages all activities for two divisions: building codes, and fire prevention inspections.
Eyal also serves as Code Enforcement Officer (2004 to 2006) in the Town of Cairo, NY. There, he also administered and managed all activities for the building codes and fire prevention inspection divisions.
While serving in the past in Cairo and presently in the Village of Saugerties, Eyal implemented new and innovative methods of service delivery to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
From 2000 to 2004, Eyal was a Staff Engineer/Designer for Crawford & Assoc. Engineering, PC, in Hudson, NY. His responsibilities there included designing mechanical, electrical and civil engineering plans for wastewater collection, wastewater treatment plants, water systems, water treatment plants for commercial, municipalities, and residential septic systems. This involved design mechanical and electrical details and layouts utilizing AutoCAD 2004, LDD. Eyal also performed construction inspections for mechanical and electrical installations and wastewater collection systems. Other work during this period included acting as a survey Crew Chief utilizing Topcon CTS total station, writing specifications, applications, reports for various projects, and performing on-site testing, NYSDEC, NYSDOH, NYSDEP.
From 1997 to 2004 Eyal was a carpenter and heavy machine operator for McKernon Contruction, Leeds NY. His responsibilities included laying out walls, floors, columns, and foundations, reading blueprints, building concrete forms, tying reinforcing steel, supervising the pouring and finishing of concrete foundations, operating front-end loaders, backhoes and dozers, and general/finish carpentry. Currently, Eyal is a part-time project manager for McKernon.
From 1993 to 1997, Eyal served as Chief Engineer, with the Israeli Navy in Haifa, Israel. There, he supervised, maintained, and repaired all mechanical, electrical and safety equipment on an Israeli Navy vessel, performed daily record keeping of all machine maintenance, provided inspections of underwater facilities, and managed a group of mechanics.
EDUCATIONEyal received NYSDOS Code Enforcement Officer training in Schenectady, NY in 2005. In May 2000, he graduated Columbia Greene Community College in Hudson, NY with an A.S. in Mathematics and Science.
Eyal attended the High School of Mechanical Engineering, in Ort, Israel, where he graduated in May 1993.
