4th of July Parade and Fireworks

Description:

In 2013, the Kiwanis Club of Saugerties, the Saugerties Fire Department and Sawyer Motors will team up for yet another great Saugerties 4th of July celebration. The 4th of July parade will take place on Thursday, July 4th.

 

Festivities include:
  • Firemen's inspection (8:30 a.m. on Main Street)
  • Parade (kicks off at 11 a.m. from Saugerties High School) . . . PDF of parade route is available under "Documents" below.
  • Letter from Parade Chairman Chris Mason, application for participation in the parade and the parade route also available under "Documents" below.

 

On Saturday, July 6, there will be fireworks at Cantine Field (at dusk) and during the day, there will be numerous fun events.  Among those being considered are: hot air balloons, a fly-over, hot dog eating and pie contests, music from the Smoothies and a band from Las Vegas, followed by fireworks on Saturday and the car show on Sunday.  More information will be added when it arrives.

Activities:

On Wednesday, July 4th, the parade line-up (Saugerties HS bus circle and parking lots) is at 10 a.m. and the parade kicks off sharply from Saugerties High School at 11 a.m.  It winds through the Village, and finishes at Cantine Field.  The parade route is available as a PDF under "Documents" below.


There are typically activities at Cantine Field after the parade and before the fireworks.  Fireworks at Cantine Field begin at dusk.  All festivities take place Wednesday, July 4th.

Fees:

There is no fee for the parade, nor for the fireworks at Cantine Field.
