A note about St. Mary of the Snow, from the November 2011 Hudson Valley Magazine:

Known as "the parish of the Hudson", St. Mary of the Snow was the only Catholic parish between New York City and Albany when it was built in 1833.  With its beautiful name and picture-postcard appearance, this classic country church features a high steeple, traditional stained glass windows, and a cemetery that dates back to the mid-19th century.

The stark simplicity of the church is its most striking feature.  A closer look reveals a Tiffany stained glass window depicting the Virgin Mary at the Assumption.  Late Night host Jimmy Fallon grew up in Saugerties and attended elementary school at St. Mary of the Snow.
